The use of any product can be undermined by poor application. As built-in Fire Protection is a safety critical trade, it is imperative that the installation of fire protection systems are closely monitored and checked. FIRAS is a third party accreditation and certification scheme for installers of built-in Fire Protection Systems and is accredited by UKAS to EN45011. This provides assurance to our customers that the correct systems are being installed with the required level of expertise, in accordance with the manufacturers test data to provide the required level of fire protection.
The FIRAS scheme involves regular assessment of Fire Shield Limited, competence assessment of our site workforce and regular, random inspection of actual contracts thus offering complete comfort to our clients.
Fire Shield Limited is a certified member of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) which promotes professional standards in quality and performance and creates guidance for testing, assessment, inspection and installation of fire protection products. Commitment to CSCS
CSCS Certificates of Commitment are awarded to companies that have shown a level of commitment to CSCS and/or its affiliated Schemes. This commitment is determined by the proportion of the company's onsite workers who hold full CSCS or affiliated cards that are valid and current. CSCS cards provide a consistent method to check our operative's competency levels before allowing them access to sites.
